Inter-African Committee on Traditional Practices

Produced by IAC in 2003, this is a short film about FGM and other harmful traditional practices in their cultural contexts. The film also highlights IAC's information and training activities in different African countries. Running time: 8.5 minutes.

NB: Although it has been edited, we would like to warn viewers about the disturbing nature of parts of this film where actual children are shown undergoing FGM and tribal marking.

This is a mini version of the IAC film about early marriage in Ethiopia, with focus on the harmful effects of this custom, such as fistula and increased mortality for mother and child during labour. Running time: 8 minutes.
